Focus Verse: “True justice must be given to foreigners living among you and to orphans, and you must never accept a widow’s garment as security for her debt. Always remember that you were slaves in Egypt and that the Lord your God redeemed you from your slavery. That is why I have given you this command.”
Deuteronomy 24:17-18

True Gospel change right here. This should be us as well. In fact, without the Gospel, true justice is not possible. Without the Gospel, true change is not possible. Without the Gospel, true repentance, forgiveness, acceptance, LOVE is not possible.

While the Israelites were always to remember that they were slaves in Egypt, we are to always remember that we were once slaves to sin. We were lost and broken, more wicked than we could ever even imagine, but even while we were still in that state, Jesus Christ came to set us free.

That freedom HAS to change you. You simply cannot experience that kind of love and stay the same. The Gospel of Jesus Christ, the freedom that He has given you through the radical exchange of His life for ours, is simply too huge to ignore. It changes how you treat others, especially the “least of these”, because it opens your eyes to how you were one of the “least of these”.

How is the Gospel changing you today?
