EXODUS 25-27

Focus Verse: “Have the people of Israel build me a holy sanctuary so I can live among them. You must build this Tabernacle and its furnishings exactly according to the pattern I will show you.”

Exodus 25:8-9

Our God is a God of details. Just take a look through today’s reading. You talk about custom building your house…God gave Moses the blueprint. There’s an important concept here though that we can miss sometimes, and it goes right along with what I’ve written about frequently on walking in the Spirit.

God wants our best. He wants us to be concerned with the details…even the ones that may seem a bit ridiculous to us. But God doesn’t want our best on our terms. He wants our best on the things He has asked us to make for Him.

So many times we can rush into ministry opportunities, and whether they are successful or fail miserably, at the end of our venture, we burn out. That’s because we are doing ministry man’s way, not God’s.

My Father-in-Law says it this way: “We can’t live in the kingdom of God man’s way. It’s got to be God’s way.”

So take a good, long look at where you’re working and what you’re doing for God. Then try asking Him if that’s even what He wants you doing. If God gave Moses and the Israelites blueprints this specific for His Tabernacle, I am sure He will let you know if you’re on the right track with Him.

Let’s decide here and now though that we will be God’s man or God’s woman. Let’s stop trying to work for His kingdom in our way, surrender our will and submit to His. His way is SO much better than ours…and He is just waiting to show you!
